Do you often forget to look after yourself? Do you tend to ignore and put aside your needs so that you fit everyone else’s?
Taking the moments out of the day for some self-care is also self-prioritizing, but it’s not the same. What does it mean to prioritize yourself? How do you do it?
Self-prioritizing happens when you align your habits, actions, and desires according to your physical and mental wellbeing. Please, do not confuse it with being ignorant and neglecting the others around you. It just means that you matter, and you know it. It means that your happiness and welfare are just as important as everyone else’s.
How Do You Prioritise Yourself?
Finding the right way to prioritize yourself takes some practice, self-respect and compassion, confidence in your own beliefs, and strength to hold onto yourself.
Learning the right way to put yourself first is just a part of the journey. Sticking to that path is the real challenge.
